The Technology
Radio Control airplanes have come a long way in recent years. Improvements
to electric motor systems and battery technology have allowed radio control
airplanes to achieve new levels in flight performance.
Using these advancements, electric remote control airplanes can take off
in land in some very small and remote areas and often times can be launched
and landed by hand. These planes can also fly in the range of upto a half
mile and reach altitudes of over 1000'. However FAA Advisory Circular AC
91-57- Model Aircraft is strictly followed.
Electric airplanes are very quiet and unnoticeable when flying and are
often flown with the motor turned off. This puts the plane into a glide
mode, providing a stable platform for taking aerial pictures.
Limitations
With any photo shot taken from the air, there are often times natural limitations
such as high traffic areas, power lines, trees and weather.
Weather can play a significant role in choosing the day a photo shoot
can be done. Winds of 10mph or less are
desired along with ample amount of sunlight for best exposure. Also, a desirable launch and land area is preferred to minimize any risk to the person(s), plane or property. We take safety to be our number one concern.
Overview
In
the last few years, advances in electric radio airplane and digital
camera technology have given us the opportunity to provide services
that have often been too pricey or not available. Since
these advances, we have been perfecting aerial photography using
electric radio control airplanes and digital cameras. What we have
come up with is an amazing combination of the two technologies that
provide useful images from perspectives never considered. Aerial
photography has a host of applications including, real estate,
construction, commercial, farm, and residential to name a few.
